Trust re-opening statement
From 1 June, Slough and East Berkshire Multi-Academy Trust is opening its doors to a wider cohort of pupils. Some schools in the Trust will increase their intake on 1 June, others on the 8 June and our secondary schools will take in additional students from 15 June.
The Trust is opening schools in keeping with government advice, advice from the local authorities (Slough Borough Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) and scientific knowledge.
Our schools are also exercising their local autonomy, local decision making powers and understanding of their local communities in determining when they will open. To prevent the spread of coronavirus, schools will use a variety of protective measures to create safer environments in which the risk of spreading the virus is substantially reduced. Whilst such changes are likely to look different in each setting, as they will depend upon individual circumstances, they are all designed to minimise risks to children, their families and the staff teams. All schools have rigorous plans in place. if you have concerns or wish to learn more please refer to your child's school for more information. The website for each school should give a detailed overview in the first instance, alongside direct communications being sent to parents, as well as being able to contact the school directly if necessary.
