Welcome from the Chief Executive

     Chris Spencer, CEO

It is with great pride and privilege that I welcome you to the Slough and East Berkshire Church of England Multi-Academy Trust (SEBMAT).

Our Trust was founded on a simple but powerful vision: to bring together a family of schools that support one another in delivering the highest possible outcomes for the young people of Slough and the surrounding areas.

Whether a school has a Church of England foundation or not, SEBMAT is a place where collaboration, shared values and a relentless focus on educational excellence unite us. We are committed to robust governance, effective leadership and a culture of coaching and continuous improvement. Through these principles, we aim to ensure that every child in our care receives an outstanding education.

Our mission is clear and deeply rooted in our values:

Slough and East Berkshire Church of England Multi-Academy Trust is an outward-looking, inclusive Trust, embedded in the local community, enabling all of God’s children to thrive and live remarkable lives.

Our Trust began with three founding schools—Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise Academy, Colnbrook Church of England Primary School and Eton Porny Church of England First School. Since then, we’ve grown thoughtfully and sustainably, welcoming Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy and Lynch Hill School Primary Academy in 2019, Woodlands Park Primary School in 2022 and most recently, Grove Academy in 2023.

As we look to the future, our focus remains on measured growth, ensuring that every new partnership strengthens our collective ability to deliver:

  • Excellence in leadership
  • High educational standards
  • Sustained improvement
  • Curriculum innovation
  • Strong local, national, and international links
  • School-to-school collaboration
  • Recruitment and development of exceptional staff
  • Outstanding financial stewardship

I invite you to explore our website further and thank for visiting as we continue to build a Trust where every student thrives, every staff member is valued, and every school is empowered to succeed.

Warm regards,
Chris Spencer
