Articles of Association

The Academy Trust is a company limited by guarantee and an exempt charity. The charitable company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association are the primary governing documents of the Academy Trust.

The Articles of Association define the responsibilities of the directors and the kind of business to be undertaken. They are the written rules about running the company  as agreed by the members, directors and company secretary. 

Typically the Articles are reviewed when there is a significant change in governance or if the Trust is undergoing substantial structural changes. This could include changes in the law, governance requirements, or strategic direction of the Trust.
