Safeguarding Statement
SEBMAT Safeguarding Statement
At SEBMAT, the safety and wellbeing of every child is at the heart of all we do. Our safeguarding practice fully reflects Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children. We ensure every policy and procedure is up-to-date, rigorously applied, and subject to regular review.
All staff and governors hold enhanced DBS checks, and they undertake annual safeguarding training. We work in close partnership with parents, carers, social services, and external agencies to make sure every child thrives in a safe, nurturing environment. Each school has a named Designated Safeguarding Lead responsible for the swift handling of any concerns, and we encourage parents and carers to talk to them about any worries—no concern is too small.
Reporting Concerns
The Trust’s Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Catherine Goodyear safeguarding@sebmat.com
Each Local Governing Body has a lead governor responsible for safeguarding and a Lead Director.
If you are concerned about the welfare of a child at any of our schools, contact the relevant Designated Safeguarding Lead.
